SPECTRA is a voluntary, non-profit and non-government organization, registered under Rajasthan society’s act 1958. SPECTRA manages this Girls Child Education Programme, funded by IIMPACT Gurgaon. The program targets out of school girls age 6-14, providing them with a strong educational foundation. Students are supported as they enter mainstream education in local government and private schools. The program encourages local female teachers to apply to teach at learning centers. Staff capacity building trainings are conducted on topics including academics, community mobilization, documentation, and leadership building.

These learning centers are supported by individual donors, corporate, and CSR funds. Funders conduct site visits to monitor students' progress. Site visits evaluate students' academic progress, community involvement, and teaching methods.

The major goal of this five year project is to establish a fifth standard foundation which supports students as they enter mainstream education and pursue their academic goals.

Program focuses on three prongs: Access, Retention, and Continued Education for girls in SPECTRA communitiesRetention of girls at learning center, local teacher availability, learning center locations
