Coe, SuePlan InternationalIrish AidInternational Centre for Disability and Rehabilitation (ICDR)2013

This report exposes the discrimination and abuse of children with disabilities in West Africa and their widespread exclusion from education services. Led by the International Centre for Disability and Rehabilitation (ICDR) at the University of Toronto, research included in-depth interviews, focus groups, a literature review, and case studies with a focus on Niger, Togo, Sierra Leone, and Guinea. In addition to identifying key factors that lead to children's exclusion, this report identifies best practices and concludes with a call to action for stakeholders.
