Youth Matters: Equipping Vulnerable Young People with Literacy and Life Skills

This report is the second of four policy briefs released by the UIL in 2014. It highlights five topic areas, starting with an overview of the global youth education challenge. It then addresses the need for governments to renew their commitment to youth education and training programs, the importance of literacy and life skills in reducing vulnerability, and strategies for more effective policies to protect vulnerable youth. The brief culminates with a discussion of several programs currently operating to benefit this vulnerable children.
